Coliseum Medical Centers is a 310 bed facility offering a 24-hour emergency room that offers specialized pediatric care. Coliseum is also now pursuing a Level III Trauma designation. The hospital offers inpatient and outpatient surgery options, rehabilitation programs, behavioral health and diagnostic services. CMC’s breadth of care options includes specialty facilities such as the Coliseum Heart Institute, an advanced cardiac center offering all services from non-invasive cardiology to open heart surgery, Coliseum Rehabilitation Center, Coliseum Robotics Institute, Coliseum Cancer Institute, and the Family Ties Birthing Center (a level III neonatal nursery). Additionally, the Coliseum Center for Behavioral Health, located on the campus of Coliseum Medical Centers, provides treatment to adults with psychiatric and addiction issues. Job SummaryColiseum Center for Behavioral Health (formerly Coliseum Psychiatric Center) is seeking a Board Certified Psychiatrist to join their team! This is a Hospitalist position with expectations of education participation. Coliseum Medical is starting a Psychiatry GME Program to begin in 2017. The unit consists of 42 inpatient beds and is staffed by 1 Psychiatry Medical Director and 2 staff psychiatry Hospitalists. Inpatient programming consists of an Adult unit, Geriatric unit, STAR (Stress, Trauma, Addiction, Recovery) unit specializing in the treatment of PTSD and a planned ECT service to begin late 2017.
HCA Behavioral Health Services (BHS) is one of the fastest growing service lines within HCA and one of the nation’s largest acute care psychiatric providers. HCA BHS operates behavioral services at 55 locations, with a total bed count of over 2,500. BHS serves all age populations: 57% adult, 21% geriatric, 13% child and adolescent, and 9% dedicated to specialty services such as substance abuse and eating disorders.
Given the high incidence rate of behavioral health disorders and the significant impact on our community, HCA began an initiative in 2008 to develop a strategic approach to these services with the goals to:
•Strategically partner with hospital affiliates to improve the management of behavioral health services
•Align behavioral health services with other services and systems within HCA to leverage synergies and improve patient outcomes
