Women’s & Children’s Hospital has also earned a reputation as the premier pediatric hospital in Acadiana due to the wide range of healthcare services it provides for children. Those services include a 51 bed Level III Regional NICU, 24-hour Children’s Emergency Department, 25-bed Pediatric Unit, 14-bed PICU, a Pediatric Hospitalist Program and Pediatric Physical, Occupational and Speech Therapy services. To complement and support the comprehensive services offered for children, the hospital has a team of highly skilled and distinguished pediatric specialists at its disposal. This vital group of physicians include a Pediatric Surgeon, Pediatric Pulmonologist, Pediatric Neurologist, Pediatric Neurosurgeon, Pediatric Gastroenterologist, Pediatric Cardiologists, Pediatric Ophthalmology, Pediatric Orthopedics, Pediatric Hematology Oncology, Pediatric Endocrinology and Pediatric Urology.

Women’s & Children’s Hospital primarily serves an 8-parish region which includes Lafayette, Acadia, Evangeline, Iberia, St. Landry, St. Martin, St. Mary, and Vermilion parishes. Job Summary

Pediatric Emergency Medicine physician needed in a Tort Reform State!

Women's and Children's Hospital in Lafayette, LA is recruiting a BC/BE pediatric emergency medicine physician or BC/BE pediatrician with extensive pediatric emergency department experience in Lafayette, Louisiana. Women's and Children's Hospital is a 150-bed facility providing OB/GYN and pediatric services in Lafayette and its surrounding areas. Work in a dedicated 12-bed pediatric emergency department with three additional fast track beds and approximately 28,000 annual visits. The department is supported by our two affiliated pediatric intensivists and most pediatric subspecialty services. The hospital has a growing pediatric hospitalist service, (with our affiliated hospitalists), as well as pediatric outpatient sedation service. There is a 23-bed pediatric unit, a 51-bed regional Level-III NICU and a 13-bed PICU.
