The hospital campus includes a free standing women’s pavilion, the only free standing facility in downtown San Antonio completely dedicated to the health of women and their newborn babies. Dec. 8, 2017: Highlighting its nationally recognized achievements in patient safety and quality, Metropolitan Methodist Hospital, a campus of Methodist Hospital, was named a Top General Hospital by The Leapfrog Group. This is the first time that a San Antonio area hospital has been named to the Top General Hospital list since the aware program began in 2006. The Leapfrog Top Hospital award is widely acknowledged as one of the most competitive honors American hospitals can receive. The Top Hospital designation is awarded by The Leapfrog Group, an independent hospital watchdog organization.

With the redevelopment of San Antonio’s Premier Pearl District. Metropolitan Methodist is growing with the needs of the local residents. We are looking for an OB/GYN who is interested in not only joining an established market but a presence in the community.

Methodist also offers the most advanced Robotic surgical technology, including the da Vinci Surgical System. Bexar County, by far the largest county in the San Antonio area picked up nearly 33,200 resident from 2015 to 2016 and is expected to grow another 8.12% by 2021. This great growth means you could build a practice quickly.

• 12 hour on-site OB (7p-7a) with other 12 hour requiring 30 minute response time
o Set to start OB Hospitalist program (Laborist) on April 18 – when this goes into place there will be 24 hour on-site OB coverage
• 24 hour on-site anesthesia coverage
• DaVinci Surgery
• 4,000 deliveries annually
