Job Summary

Highly motivated APP (advanced practice provider) to provide cardiac-related medical care to patients in an inpatient and outpatient setting under the supervision of a physician. Denver Heart is a hospital-employed practice located in the Denver metropolitan area with two offices, 5 physicians, one PA, and one NP.

The APP must be comfortable providing diagnostic, therapeutic and preventive services for patients with heart failure, coronary disease, valve dysfunction, NSTEMI/STEMIs, cardiomyopathies, dyslipidemia, HTN, dysrhythmias, pacemakers/ICDs, peripheral vascular disease the comorbidities that often accompany these illnesses.

Experience in a cardiac setting is preferred. Exceptional candidates with great personalities will always be considered!

Job responsibilities (include but are not limited to):

- Perform physical exams, admissions, consultations and rounds
- NPPs must be comfortable using varieties of EMR systems
- Traveling to our three office/hospital locations
- Taking weekend call/rounding
- Charting in patient and department records
- Educating patients and staff
- Maintaining a safe and clean work environment
- Adhere to state, federal and local legal practices
- Interact with a variety pf personalities
- Coordinate care between providers
- Coordinate procedures such as heart/peripheral catheterizations and EP studies/ablations
- Interpret and dictate event monitors and holter monitors
- May participate in research as needed by our research department
- Oversee stress testing and interpret results

APP Qualifications:

- Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant Program or Nurse Practitioner Program
Current licensure or Eligibility to practice as a NPP in Colorado
- Current certification/Licensed by the NPP governing bodies
- 1-2 years experience required
- Cardiology experience preferred
