Facilities have been consistently growing over the course of the last 5 years, having invested $136 M in capital improvements through 2016. Job Summary

Ocala Health, located in Ocala, Florida, in conjunction with the University of Central Florida College of Medicine (UCF COM) and TeamHealth, is seeking applicants for Transitional Year Program Director.

The UCF COM/HCA GME Consortium Internal Medicine residency program is accredited for 30 residents and seeks full-time, board-certified internal medicine faculty members. Teaching physicians will receive faculty appointments and collaborate with other UCF COM faculty. The main UCF COM campus offers state-of-the-art medical education and research facilities and is located in Lake Nona Medical City, near Orlando.

The ideal candidate must be board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and should have at least 2 years of experience as a faculty member. Candidates with less than 2 years faculty experience who have extensive teaching experience as either a fellow or chief resident may be considered.

Our Internal Medicine residency program is accredited for 30 residents. The Transitional Year Program Director will play a major role in development of our program by participating in the recruitment, selection, teaching, evaluation and mentorship of our residents. They will assist with the didactic curriculum, residency quality improvement / patient safety projects and can participate on applicable hospital committees.

In addition, the incoming physician will serve as the Associate Program Director for the Internal Medicine program. They will have an average of 25 hours per week of protected administrative time.

The incoming physician will be employed through Team Health, our hospitalist program.
