Job Summary

The primary goal of the Georgetown cardiologist is to provide excellent patient care for the patients in Williamson County. The cardiologist will see clinic patients in our Georgetown office at least four days per week and possibly some outreach depending on the demand for services. Additional responsibilities include hospital consults, reading inpatient and outpatient studies: nuclear stress test, echos, stress echo, transesophageal echo, and cardioversions. This physician should be boarded or board eligible in echo and nuclear.

The cardiologist will provide hospital coverage at Georgetown Hospital, which is adjacent to the office. Georgetown Hospital is a 98-bed facility with a hospital census between 2 to 10 patients daily.

The physician will be taking over the practice of a retiring cardiologist and will be working in this two-physician office with Dr. Robert Denyer.


Call Responsibilities - The cardiologist would be responsible to take call approximately one night per weekday (Monday-Thursday) and 1 in every 6 weekends as part of the seven-physician Williamson County call group. There are three hospitals (Cedar Park Regional Medical Center, Round Rock Medical Center and Georgetown Hospital) in the Williamson County call group. As with all jobs within Austin Heart, the job responsibilities may change over time in order to meet the demand for services and other market conditions.
