Job Summary

HCA’s Portsmouth Regional Hospital in Portsmouth, NH is seeking a BC/BE Neurologist with fellowship training in Epilepsy or Vascular/stroke a plus. Opportunity exists for directorship of the stroke program at Portsmouth Regional’s Primary Stroke Center. Alternatively, a newly expanded continuous EEG monitoring program offers an opportunity to grow an epilepsy program.

Applicants should have fellowship training and will be part of an interdisciplinary team including neurologists, neurosurgeons and interventional neuroradiologists.

Portsmouth Regional Hospital works closely with local EMS providers to deliver brain-saving care. They are the only hospital on the Seacoast to offer Endovascular Thrombectomy. Teleneurology services are used regularly with acute stroke, improving quality of life for the on call neurologist, and improving door to intervention time through the ED. A newly opened neuro/trauma unit has improved ancillary care of patients through specially trained nursing and rehab providers.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• BE/BC Neurology, Stroke or Epilepsy Focus a plus
• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely with all levels of nursing, administration and physicians
