Tulane University School of Medicine is located in the Central Business district, within walking distance of the historic French Quarter and Canal Street, and close to the Mississippi River and scenic St. Charles Avenue. Cradled within a crescent on the the lower Mississippi River, New Orleans began as a French colony in 1718. Nurse Practitioner
Tulane University School of Medicine

Tulane University School of Medicine, Department of Surgery, Section of Oncology is seeking applicants who will qualify for the position of Nurse Practitioner.

Applicants must have a record of excellence in clinical care. Satisfy the requirements of the Louisiana Department of Health and Hospitals, Board of Nursing. Hold a current license as APRN in Louisiana. Have a degree from an approved Master of Nursing, Nurse Practitioner program. Must be able to successfully complete established competencies for the position within designated probationary period. Have current CPR certification required.

This position works under the supervision and direction of a physician, and functions as a nurse practitioner for the designated population through performance of history and physical, development and documentation of plan of care, interpretation of test results, and revision of plan of care as indicated. This position provides primary clinical management to patients and families with Endocrine/Oncologic Disease, including nursing care and delegated medical tasks, chart review, case evaluation, and the development of clinical tools and protocols. As part of the department this position participates in research, special projects, or committee assignments related to role/specialty.
