GENERAL CARDIOLOGIST JOB DESCRIPTION
Austin, the capital is located in the heart of the Texas Hill Country. Austin Heart has 45 cardiologists in 12 locations. Our central Austin office is the largest of our twelve office locations. It is located on the third floor above the Heart Hospital of Austin – a facility totally dedicated to the treatment of heart and vascular disease. The cardiologist would spend approximately four days per week at the Heart Hospital office and one day doing outreach clinics in other Austin Heart offices. The cardiologist would be on call once every fifth weekends and two weeknights per month covering two main hospitals – the Heart Hospital of Austin and Seton Medical Center. The group has an active research program and desires a cardiologist to be actively involved in the program.
This is a wonderful practice opportunity for a cardiologist to have a vibrant practice in a growing community with the most prestigious cardiology group in Central Texas. This opportunity is in a busy central office with a tertiary referral center. TEE skills are critical to assist with TAVR and Watchman procedures. The cardiologist could pick up a panel of patients from a provider who left the practice.
